Dr. Mario Nutis is a distinguished physician from the El Paso–Ciudad Juárez region, where he began his medical journey at the University of Juarez School of Medicine, graduating valedictorian in 1998.
He went on to complete his Family Medicine residency at Texas Tech El Paso in 2003, earning board certification in Family Medicine. Driven by a passion for women’s health, Dr. Nutis pursued a second residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech El Paso, finishing in 2006.
To advance his surgical expertise, Dr. Nutis completed a prestigious fellowship in Laparoscopic Gynecologic Surgery at Stanford University in 2007, where he trained under world-renowned pioneer Dr. Camran Nezhat. His commitment to innovation in women’s health led him to establish the first Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology in Texas in 2011, where he continues to serve as Medical Director.
Beyond patient care, Dr. Nutis is deeply involved in the academic side of medicine. He has co-authored three textbooks, contributed multiple articles, abstracts, and editorials, and produced surgical training videos for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. His research focuses on infertility, endometriosis, and chronic pelvic pain, helping advance understanding and treatment of these complex conditions.
